After working with Central Lakes College and putting it to a city-wide vote, the city council voted on a city logo. This is the first known city logo for Burtrum. In the log it shows the farming fields and a cabin, showing our community of farming and people coming into our community to their cabins. Also says, “A Place to Belong” to reflect the welcoming feeling the Burtrum community gives to newcomers when arriving in Burtrum for the first time. 

If you are reading this, you are aware that we have our very first city website. This will allow easy submission of forms, easy access to meeting minutes and city ordinances, and information for our visitors to Burtrum and newcomers. It will also display events within the city and easy visibility to the availability for rental of the community center. 

We are now open for regular office hours. This will allow people from the city to come into the community center to come ask questions and/or express concerns with our City Clerk. Having brought in WiFi to the building allowed us to take this step to offer this to the community. We are excited to see you during our office hours!

Mayor Ulbricht and her husband dedicated their time to revitalize the office, adding a fresh coat of paint for a renewed look. Additionally, they generously contributed a modern light fixture, bringing a much-needed update to the space.

Thrilling Announcement: Our city has secured its first grant from Sourcewell to enhance various aspects of our community. With an exciting twist, Sourcewell is generously matching every dollar, up to $10,000, amplifying the impact of our improvement initiatives. Exciting times lie ahead for our flourishing city!

We are pleased to announce the very first installation of a life-saving Automated External Defibrillator (AED) outside the Burtrum Community Center. This critical resource is now available 24/7 to help residents and visitors respond to cardiac emergencies quickly and effectively. 

We are thrilled to share that our city has secured a generous grant from Sourcewell to enhance the kitchen at the Burtrum Community Center!

This $50,000 grant will allow us to make significant updates, transforming the kitchen into a more functional and modern space for our community’s use. These improvements will support events, gatherings, and programs, making the Community Center an even better resource for all residents.
